Master Buick GMC Donates More Than $6,560.68 in Cash and Sports Equipment to Local Youth Football Leagues
Augusta, GA (1/13/12) – Master Buick GMC is pleased to announce that they helped raise nearly $261,500 for Youth Football leagues in Southeast region through the 2011 GMC Youth Football program. In addition to this monetary support, Master Buick GMC also included an equipment donation and a unique fundraising opportunity. Through the fundraising effort, Tara Mays of North Augusta won a Tailgating Package valued at $500 that includes a stainless steel 4-Burner Char-Broil Grill and a $100 gift card, which will be presented by Stacy Chambers of Master Buick GMC.
“GMC has a long history with football and we’re glad we were able to bring that commitment to our youth leagues in the CSRA where our customers and their families live, work, and play,” said Stacy Chambers for Master Buick GMC.
Master Buick GMC partnered with the North Augusta Parks and Recreation because of the league’s proximity to the dealership. Equipment donated by Master Buick GMC included equipment bags, water coolers, first-down markers and t-shirts.
“We are delighted to be involved with the American tradition of youth football,” said Stacy Chambers, of Augusta-area dealers. “Sponsoring North Augusta Parks and Recreation gave us the opportunity to illustrate our commitment to the youth and families in Augusta and we’re glad to have achieved such positive outcome for the community.”
In 2011, more than 407 dealers participated in GMC Youth Football and helped raise more than $1,285,805 for youth football programs across the USA. Now in its third year, more than $2,794,785 has been contributed to youth football in the communities where GMC’s customers live, work, and play.

IIHS Rates Safest Cars of 2012The IIHS safety ratings for 2012 are out! All 4 vehicles in the Buick line up received the top safety pick designation. GMC's Acadia and Terrain both were top picks in the SUV category. Chevrolet's vehicle line-up including the Volt all placed in the top designation as well as the Traverse and Equinox in the SUV category. The Cadillac CTS and SRX both met the very stringent guidelines for safety as well.
